Overview

Retain turns every cancellation into a conversation. Signing up takes one click. Leaving takes Retain Journeys: seven screens, nine clicks and 21 options, each screen with a large button to stay and a small link to continue.

The progress bar reads Step 3 of 3 for four screens in a row. Customers who reach the end are given a phone number, staffed on Tuesdays from 02:00 to 02:15 UTC. Cancellations are down 71%.

How it works

1. Screen by screen: what you will lose, switch or pause instead, a required survey, a discount, a choice of end date, a confirmation and a phone line.
2. Every off-ramp keeps the subscription. Remind me later and End on renewal date both keep billing.
3. Retain Journeys is an add-on for any plan and included in Ultra. Shitely's own plans use it.
